I now use a medium finish foundation and put the smallest amounts of concealer around my eyes and occasional breakout and set with a setting powder. Also I have started to just be happy with what I have and not be so hard on myself. I broke up with that routine bc I was applying more then looked good for my skin and it aged me soooo much. I use to do concealer first then foundation then a pressed foundation then all topped with a setting powder. One of my favorite things about makeup is there are no rules to your technique and just like you change and evolve with time. If I skip this step, the darkness tends to show through and will look kind of grey under my concealer/foundation so the corrector helps to conceal and adds a bit of warmth to the dark spot so my skin appears more even toned. I like to apply a dark peach/orange-ish corrector under my eyes and on really dark spots, then I’ll apply a light dusting of setting powder to make sure it doesn’t move around or lift when I blend concealer or foundation over it. Correctors go underneath everything in order to neutralize the discoloration first so your foundation and concealers don't have to work as hard to cover them up.
